Review of 2004 Chrysler Sebring Limited convertible.
Some reviews I’ve read seem disappointed that the Sebring vert isn’t more of a sports car. This isn’t anything wrong with the car, but with the reviewers’ expectations. If you want a sports vert, you go to a two-seater, not a four-seater.
What the Sebring vert is, for my money, is an unmatched touring car. I live in Florida, so I get to drive a lot with the top down. (Plus I’ve just bought a windshield for the back, which permits driving in cooler weather. Even tho it’s for the back, it makes the front warmer in cool weather)
I love the car, and my wife must like it, since she insists on driving it everywhere. But that’s okay with me, since it’s fun to either drive or ride in. I even like riding in the back on the Interstate—even before we got the supplemental windshield).
The top is easy to put up or down, and when you put it down, the windows also go down. When you speed up over 10mph, the doors lock. And there are a lot of other thoughtful features. A readout in the dash gives you a lot of info, including the estimated mpg.
BTW, we bought the car with 74,000 miles on it, and it still looks and drives like new. All in all, a practical convertible.
PS: Other car is a 1996 Cherokee with 154,000 miles, which also looks and drives like new. (I kid you not!)
