Mushy handling at times/reports of Toyota quaility issues with transmissions and engine sludge make me nervous
Advice to buyer:
Take it on some twisty turns and such to see if you would prefer sport suspension
Detailed review:
Highlander is very comfy and quiet to drive. I like the sport suspension and reg. version is to wallowy for me.
Seat comfy, get power driver seat if you can because the steering wheel is a bit too close the the dash and you need the adjustability of the power seats to get everything comfy. Car rides very well and feels solid in build. Looks classy inside to me. Handling is not super sharp, but very competent and efficient. Great visibility on all sides. Cush ride not sporty. Wish it had more cupholders up front. So far our tranny has been great, but noticed it slipped a little once on hard acceleration.
