I bought the manual 5 speed Aveo in September 05 to pull behind the RV. It would be easy to pull and provide fun and economical transportation. It has been that although I discovered after purchase it can't be towed with four wheels on the ground. I had to buy a tow dolly for it. Even though the sticker projected 34 mpg on the highway, I was hoping I could coax more out of it. Not so. I get between 30 and 32 mpg. I love driving the car because of the comfortable ride and nimble steering. I haven't had trouble, but I am expecting trouble from the A/C. It was noisy when new and is getting noisier after 7000 miles. There is a strange smell when the A/C is first turned on.
