Rear vis reduced by hi trunk; abrupt headlight cutoff at top of beam is awkward in hills.
Advice to buyer:
Don't be put off by 4-cyl. This engine is powerful, smooth, and gets good mileage.
Detailed review:
A complete package, great value. Very quick, quiet, smooth; handles like a dream. Surprisingly spacious (more rear legroom than a TL!) Excellent seats. Good headroom (I'm 6'1'.) Spacious trunk (the benefit to offset the less than perfect rear visibility), but the opening isn't as large as some might like. 6-sp manual is tight, fun to drive.
And with gas shooting above $2.20/gal, what could be better than a 'hot' car that will thrive on ANY grade of gas? I haven't run it with Regular, but I can't detect any performance reduction at all with midgrade BP gas, though Acura predicts a tradeoff. The iTec four always pulls very strongly and smoothly at all RPMs. More power would get me in trouble, yet my mileage approaches 30.
My '96 Infiniti G-20 is still a great car, but the TSX is superior in most ways, inferior in none. Ten years of automotive progress perfectly illustrated. Thanks to Karen at Ed Voyles Acura, Atlanta.
