Cons:
Lack of ability to manually downshift, except to low.

"I've been driving since my early teens, nearly 40 years now, so I have had many cars. I don't think I have had any that I liked as much as the Fusion. I've had it for just over a year, with absolutely no complaints."

Pros:
Microsoft Sync
Cons:
Headlight switch on dash, lack of a home link garage door opener button
"I've owned lots of Honda cars over the past 20 years (still own an Odyssey minivan) and I've owned Mazda and Infiniti cars along the way too. American cars have not impressed me for a long time and their reliability and resale were questionable. But when it came time to replace my '01 Civic commute car, I wanted to go to a mid-size sedan and I looked at almost every vehicle in the category. The Ford Fusion is tight, smart and attractive. It's ergonomic interior design is excellent. Everything is where it should be, except for the headlight switch. I'm used to twisting a stalk on the left of the steering column but I'll get used to reaching for the dash in due time. The Fusion's Microsoft Sync system is really cool. It works great once you learn the proper voice commands. Seats are firm but comfortable. Lots of storage in console, glove box and doors. Dash gauges are attractive and easy to see. The trunk is gigantic and the back seat has plenty of leg and head room for adults. Why didn't Ford build this car sooner? Interior is more modern and useful than Accord, Camry or Altima. Fusion has lots of luxury features you won't find in other cars in this class. I think Honda and Toyota had better step up their game."

Pros:
SYNC Sirius, 6-speed Atomatic, 34 MPGs Highway driving
Cons:
Poor color selection --- Black, white, gray or some variant. Where are the nice blues and greens of the good old days????
"I noticed a huge improvement over the 2009 Fusion as soon as I test drove the car. The improved enigne and transmission are very noticable. There have not been any problems in the first 10,000 miles. On 300 mile highway trips at 75 to 80 MPH I consistantly get 34MPG."

Pros:

Cons:

"Never intended to buy the HyBrid because I purchased a Fusion Sport. Dealer got it for me from another state. Two weeks after receiving it was found this state Washington would not title because did not meet our strick pollution standards. Great car.
thro. Dealer talked me into testing a HyBrid. Sure glad I did. Turned out to be a fine car. Not as fast or does it corner quite as well as the Sport model but a great car. Have about 2500 miles on it. For what it has for a power plant I found it has plenty of get up and go , its passing ability great. In our mountains no probllems with corning or power. Interior is nicely layed out, seats are confortable, legroom fine. No problems of any sort have been encountered. Gas mileage from 38.6 to 41.8. I could do better. Would recommend this car and have to anyone. Some one may build a better car then this Ford but not for this price."

"The 2010 Fusion Sport AWD is another example of Ford listening to the market. The 3.5 ltr engine has a smooth 263 hp. The AWD and sport suspension delivers a crisp handling car. The seats are very comfortable. The car has tons of room. The voice activated Sync/Nav is industry leading. Great value, great looks, great performance, great fun! "

Pros:

Cons:

"Over the past 10 months I have driven a 2010 Ford Fusion with the 4 cyl engine. At 8,000 miles the transmission started slipping and shifting poorly; Ford reprogrammed the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). At 10,000 miles, Ford checked the computer and told me it was running fine. When the transmission would not shift into 2nd or 3rd regularly, shutter, and slam into gear at 12,000 miles, Ford replaced the transmission. However, the mechanic told me that the car's computer still 'thought' the car was operating properly. An Internet search resulted in others with the same problem. The new transmission is working fine. Sometimes when I try to start the car, the engine just turns over continuously without starting. Ford needs to fire the computer programmers & designers. The AC vents don't angle upwards enough. Otherwise, the car handles nicely and is relatively comfortable for its small size."
