Pros: THE CAR HAS GOOD PICKUP.
Cons: RIDING IS POOR OVER ROAD IMPERFECTIONS.

"WE BOUGHT A 2010 ELANTA SE AND THE ONE COMPLIANT WITH THE CAR IS THE RIDE. THE RIDE IS VERY BUMPY OVER UNEVEN ROADS AND FEELS AS IF THE CAR IS RIDING ON WATER BALLOONS."

Pros: Dash layout.
Cons: 2.0 L engine not enough for my driving habits.

"Good vehicle with a LOT of space inside. Pretty comfortable but a bit underpowered for me, although it's saving me on gas."

Pros: radio
Cons: steering wheel doesn't tilt and it's electric steering system

"I live upstate New York, in the Hudson valley. I previously owned a 2001 Buick Century, as for perfomace, ride, comfort, fuel mileage and buying parts for this Elantra, the ole Buick is my favorite choice. I'll be kicking myself for 5 yrs for not buying the Chevy Impala or similar GM models for an additional $1,500. I really feel ashame that I allowed the dealer to con me into believing the Elantra to be a better choice, especially on the account of the better warranty. Yeah this car will last a long time, it just sits in my driveway to remind me of the stupidity I was with door nicks in the side panel."

Pros: solidness
Cons: material on console armrest looks like it might wrinkle with use

"This car drives bigger than it is. In other words it's demeanor from the drivers seat is more midsize whereas it's demeanor from the outside is more compact. Very nice ride...firm yet not harsh. Acceleration is not rocket-like but that's not what you're expecting either. My combined city/highway mpg is about 24+. And that's about 80/20 (city/hwy). Very roomy interior, comfortable seats, stereo is better than average but certainly not spectacular (comes with 3 months free trial of satellite radio) I had a 2002 Elantra which never gave me a bit of trouble. At this price, I don't think any other manufacturer can compete. My wife's Nissan Versa is pretty close, but it's also more expensive and doesn't have the warranty that the Elantra has. If you're looking for this type of car, you cant bypass the Elantra. Test drive it. I'd be surprised if you didn't chose it over other comparably priced cars."
