Cons: Rough ride, poor sound proofing and dropping mileage. "We now have owned our 2010 Prius for over one year. We have almost 25,000 miles on the car. Still like it a lot, but for some reason our mileage has dropped considerably over the past year - we're lucky to get an average of 36 mpg now. Haven't change driving habits or gas - will have dealership give it a good going over at the oil change coming up. With the price of gas, we still feel we've made a good decision in buying the vehicle. "Wonderful car to drive. Good turning radius and easy to like. Car rides very stiff and is too low to ground to clear parking chocks. Have had to replace fender shields due to low profile. Good mileage as advertised and very serviceable. Do not understand hard ride.l Could be improved with better shocks and raising level above ground. Cons: There is nothing I don't like about my car. "My Prius is very comfortable, (I'm 5'6' and a bit overweight). I have the leather seats and it is a IV model. All the gadgets are cool and it runs very well. Wonderful on gas, 50+ mpg. For a small car it is great, doesn't feel small inside. Cons: Ridiculous price for options. Floor Mats set $200 for an econony car same price as Camry! "Our 2010 Prius mpg sucks! Winter is probably the culprit according to dealer service manager! 38 low to 42 max mix of driving is mainly suburban and city where mpg is supposed to be over 50. Wife had to have it got the one with sunroof. Bunch of bull having to pay for other options you don't want to get it. Toyota sticks it to the customer on unneccassary accessories. Third Prius we have had and none ever averaged close to their ratings. Have a 2009 RAV4 4 cylinder getting close to 25mpg higher seating and just as comfortable."   get yourself a couple of weeks to get use to the car. Also watch the dvd that comes with the car. The car has managed over 51 mpg since we have had the car. I love the way it drives and handles. It really moves out when passing on a two lane road. The Prius comes pretty loaded up, which includes many safety options. I feel it is a great looking car and also love the interior. Toyota could improve all the dash lighting by making them brighter and maybe a different colors. If you are wearing sunglasses it can be hard to see some of the information, even with the dash lights turned all the way up. The other thing I would like to see improved is the armrests, they could us more padding. Other than that we love the car."   So far so good - don't expect a sports car and be willing to pay a high price for the extras. "We've put almost 3000 miles on our Prius V. We love the look, the mileage and the driveability. We opted for the V knowing that because of the larger tires our mileage and comfort might suffer, but we're happy with the trade off. We're averaging about 42 overall and the ride is rough over bumpy roads. The handling is super with the larger tires. Overall so far so good. The interior is very spacious, more so than our '02 Camry. The Smart Key is great and the back up camera works well - you need it because rear visability is not good. I'm having a hard time adjusting to the lower seat position of the driver, you have no idea where the front end of the car is!! I'm sure it's that way in most newer vehicles.
