Volkswagen design and technology. Volkswagen also claims the Up! Lite
to be the world’s most fuel efficient car achieving 70 mpg on the
highway.
What we like about it:
Through use of aluminum, high-strength steel and carbon fiber, the Up!
Lite tips the scales at a feathery 1,530 pounds. To further help with
efficiency, the navigation system has a built-in “eco” mode which plots
a route that favors downhill coasting.
Bottom line: Volkswagen
doesn’t mess around when building a concept hybrid.
