Deal Breakers: Front seat comfort, rear seat cushion doesn't split 60/40, no rear headrests, no center console storage, average quality

Given its status as an entry-level automobile, the Ford Focus doesn't have much in terms of on-board entertainment and navigation equipment. The excellent Audiophile stereo system in our test car included a Ford parts-bin faceplate, complete with its frustrating lack of a tuning knob. Otherwise, it's easy enough to operate, and sounds good in part thanks to a subwoofer mounted in the cargo area that takes up a bit of space. Our Focus SES model also had a tacked-on pod of satellite radio controls mounted to the steering column and tucked between the steering wheel spokes. We never used these. It was much easier to change stations and volume with the regular controls.
