Simplicity is a guiding philosophy for the Ford Focus. Power window controls are grouped together on the driver's door panel, angled in for easy use. The power door lock button is right where you expect it to be, activating a system that not only responds slowly to commands from the keyless remote but also makes an unrefined whirring noise when locking or unlocking. Cruise controls are mounted to the steering wheel, large and easy to use, while the power mirror switch is simple and located within reach. The stalks handle the usual variety of tasks, but the wiper functions are a little confusing. Pull the stalk in to spray the windshield, and you'll activate the rear wiper. To clean the front glass, you must push in on the end of the stalk.
