When can I get one?

An exact on-sale date hasn't been announced, but GM has said that production will take place at the company's Detroit-Hamtramck plant starting in late 2010. If that goal is met, expect to see the Chevy Volt in Chevrolet showrooms starting sometime in early 2011. Considering the hype surrounding the car, we suggest bringing an extra bag of money as well. Not that we're calling anybody greedy, but we suspect at least some dealers will be happy to add to the Volt's price to help pad their own pockets.
