Car Nominee: Audi TT

Completely redesigned with a more grown-up look, the Audi TT is part of the automaker’s recent emergence stateside. Despite its more upscale looks, however, some feel that the TT has lost some of its quirky, fun personality. Its lack of power performance also hurts it against competitors like the Porsche Boxster and Honda S2000. Coming soon: the turbocharged 2009 Audi TTS should put the competition on notice.
