A quick look at Ford's newest take on its classic muscle car

With 540 horsepower from a supercharged V-8, the 2010 Ford Shelby GT500 is as close as it gets to a Mustang supercar, only at a very un-supercar $48,175. Complete with significant aerodymic work, Brembo brake upgrades, and an exhaust that sends little kids running to the bushes, this is arguably inside and out the best Ford Mustang ever. Quantities, though not specified by Ford, will be limited, and we imagine there will be quite a markup if you happend to find one on a dealer lot.
