First Drive Q&A: 2010 Lexus HS 250h

The world's first dedicated luxury hybrid (is not just an upgraded Prius)

So what are your complaints?

The brake feel, like the rest of Toyota's hybrids, is still a little strange. There's a noticeable lack of consistency in the linearity of the feel. In other words, sometimes you need only light pressure on the brake pedal to slow the car, other times to slow at the same rate you need to step harder. Chalk it up to the regenerative braking, a key feature of hybrids that uses braking energy to help recharge the batteries. It helps save fuel, but it also can make the brakes feel strange, although most owners quickly get used to it.
